How does the seat clamp work?

The seat clamp of the Paralane consists of two parts that slide against each other and are clamped inside the frame. The small lower screw, which should be tightened to a torque of 3 Nm, only serves to hold the two parts together. The torque for the upper clamping screw, which secures the seatpost, is 8 Nm.
