PP2402 PARALANE from MY 2024 - Family FAQ | Technology

How does the Garmin mount work?
The mount for the bike computer is installed through the hole in the faceplate of the stem. You can attach either the Garmin or Wahoo computer mount to this mount. You can also adjust it to your preferred angle.

Can I switch between electronic and mechanical shifting?
Yes, the PARALANE can be ridden with both electronic and mechanical shifting.

How can I change the stem or stem length?
You can order a different length stem from your dealer. During the development process of the PARALANE, it was important to us that the stem could be easily replaced without removing or cutting any cables. However, you should consider the following: if you switch to a longer stem, it may require longer cables. Make sure that all cables are long enough beforehand. If you switch to a shorter stem, the cables may be too long. You can shorten them slightly for a tidier look. Here are all the stem lengths with their order numbers:

250014500 C.I.S. road stem 70 mm
250014600C.I.S. road stem 80 mm
250014700 C.I.S. road stem 90 mm
250014800 C.I.S. road stem 100 mm
250014900 C.I.S. road stem 110 mm
250015000 C.I.S. road stem 120 mm

I want to ride with a lower front. I want to ride with fewer spacers. Is that possible?
The PARALANE stem gives you the freedom to find your perfect riding position. Simply remove one of the split spacers under the stem and add a round spacer above it. Once you have found the right seating position, remove the round spacers at the top and shorten the steerer tube to achieve a clean look. If you need help with this, you can always ask your local dealer for assistance.

What material are the stems made of?
The PARALANE has an aluminium stem.

Can I mount a bike computer or action camera on the stem?
Every PARALANE is equipped with an integrated, adjustable bike computer mount and an action camera or light mount that can be attached to the bike computer mount.

What bike classification does the PARALANE fall under?
The PARALANE belongs to classification 6: road bikes. It is intended for use in competition or at high speeds of more than 50 km/h, e.g. when descending or sprinting.

Is the PARALANE UCI-compliant?
The PARALANE does not comply with all current UCI rules and is not supplied with the corresponding sticker.
