What is the fork standard?
The headset is designed for forks with a 1 1/8" – 1.8" steerer tube. The fork travel must be 170 mm. Also check all other standards such as postmount, axle dimensions, etc., if you want to change your fork. In addition, the fork you choose must be approved by the manufacturer for a system weight of 150 kg. In case of doubt, contact your local FOCUS dealer.

What is the maximum brake disc size?
You can use a maximum brake disc size of 225 mm.

How far can the seatpost be inserted?
The maximum insertion depth of the seatpost in the frame depends on your frame size:
S: 220 mm; M: 250 mm; L: 270 mm; XL: 290 mm.

What is the maximum system weight?
The maximum system weight for the FOCUS SAM² is 150 kg. This includes the weight of the bike, the rider, and all equipment.

What is the maximum tire width?
The maximum tire width is 2.6" or 66 mm.

What wheel size does it have? Can I change the wheel size?
The SAM² is equipped with mullet wheels, i.e., a 29" front wheel and a 27.5" rear wheel. Since the whole bike is optimized for this concept, we strongly recommend not changing it.

Which groupsets fit? With which dimensions?
The largest chainring you can use has 36 teeth, the largest cassette up to 52 teeth.
